Introduction to 3D Modelling

understanding the basics of 3D Max modelling.

We started by creating a box, using the box tool and dragging it to the size you want. Making a box in this method could cause problems as its hard to get it stop on causing decimals. Putting an object in a game like this using up resources the computer needs to use.

Texturing and Creating a box.

First we create a box

We used the Short key M to bring up the textures menu

we then added the texture we wanted by clicking on the defuse box, then uploading our bitmap we wished to use

We then clicked and dragged onto our box we wished to textured

We then when to the modifier menu list

Select the UVW map

Select UVW, drop down box then selected gizmo

We made sure we had our box selected

we then stretch and shrink our texture till both sides looked right
Adding lighting


Create panel
Selected the light icon
Make sure the view is realistic and perspective
Then click and drag where you want the light,  then change the angle to how you want it using the axes tools.
